Elrie Joubert is a Bloemfontein based visual artist and collector of miniature natural objects. Joubert completed her B.A Fine Arts with a distinction in Painting at the University of the Free State in 2006, and went on to receive her M.A. (Fine Arts) in 2010 from the same institution.
In 2012 Joubert won the prestigious Absa l’Atelier Art Competition and as part of her prize received a six month residency at the Cite Internationale des Arts, Paris, France. She has also participated in various group exhibitions, notably Small Objects with artist Brian Collier in New York, USA, in 2013.
Joubert is currently working as a Lecturer in Drawing and History of Graphic Design at MGI in Bloemfontein and is a member of Friends of Oliewenhuis Committee.
