Lesego Motsiri beliefs to be a patient, hardworking, determined and creative a person. He currently lives in Bloemfontein in the Free State, where he is completing his 3rd year B.A. Fine Arts degree at the University of the Free State and is working as a student assistant at the Johannes Stegmann Art Gallery, located on the campus of UFS.
Motsiri is working towards building a future as a fulltime visual artist. In 2016 he was nominated to take part in the District Six 50th Commemoration Print Exchange, hosted by District Six Art Museum. In the same year he made it to the top 100 of the Sasol New Signatures Art Competition, where his chosen work was then selected by Phatshoane Henney Attorney, for their 2016 calendar.
Motsiri has taken part in numerous student exhibitions. Lesego had a solo exhibition of 21 artworks, hosted by Oddz_Creatives, which took place at the Central University of Technology Art Gallery, titled The_Black_Season_17 in 2017. The_Balck_Season_17 was also used in collaboration with Motlatsi Khotle (choreographer) for a theatre production titled; Black Season, which premiered at Ernest Oppenheimer Theatre in 2017.
Lesego Motsiri has been the proud chairperson of an art-based association at the University of the Free Sate call United Free State of Mind, since its conception in 2015. From 2016 – 2017, Lesego Motsiri has been voluntary working at the Free State Arts Festival.
