Operation: Bagration named after Georgian Prince, Piotr Bagration (1765- 1812), was a general of the Imperialist Russian Army during the Napoleonic Warfare.  The art blocks portray an imaginative happening of the attack from the Soviet Union, which entered the Nazi’s main headquarters and destroyed them. This event was seen as one of the biggest disasters during the Second World War for Nazi Germany.

The various marks that have been made on the block emphasis the entering and warfare between the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany. Through the various mark making and textural lines and dots, there is mayhem but the longitude and latitude lines gives structure but also a further view into the artwork of exposed areas that the viewer is left to complete – like envisioning how the war looked and being in that area in that time era of war.
